The U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) published a Federal Register Notice of Suspension, effective December 19, 2024, extending the current application suspension period expiring on that date. While the suspension is in effect, individuals not currently enrolled may not apply for coverage under the Federal Long Term Care Insurance Program (FLTCIP) and current FLTCIP enrollees may not apply to increase their coverage.
