2026 Future Purchase Option Offer
Enrollees who have the future purchase option (FPO) for inflation protection: If you accepted the FPO offer increase, it is effective January 1, 2026.
FLTCIP Enrollees with ACIO
During the 2023 Enrollee Decision Period, enrollees with the automatic compound inflation option (ACIO) for inflation protection had the option to pay the premium increase in three phases. The third phase is effective January 1, 2026.
FLTCIP Application Suspension
OPM extended the FLTCIP application suspension for 24 months, effective December 19, 2024. During this time, if you aren't already enrolled, you can't apply for FLTCIP coverage. If you are enrolled, you can't apply to increase your coverage.
